4th Anniversary

Yes it has been for years for Larry and I on May 17th. We normally don't do a lot - especially with Ashley's birthday the same week, but this year Larry really surprised me. He arranged for Cherie to watch Ashley, made reservations at The Old Stone Church, and I even got gifts!!! We had a great, quiet dinner just the two of us! He did a great job!! With all the crazy day to day things that go on it is really nice to have one night to sit and realize why we married each other!

Mother's Day

Ok so I am way behind in posting anything!!

For Mother's day we decided to go to the zoo - what fun! More like "What in the world were we thinking!!" It was the day after Ashley's birthday so we were all worn out, and it was 90 degrees out! Needless to say we saw a few of the animals - Ashley got to see the elephants which she loves so we decided to call it good half way thru.

Few days after our visit there was a news story about the plague killing one of the monkeys at the zoo!! Guess we won't be going back for a long time.

Ashley's Birthday

May 12Th Ashley turned 2 years old!!! I can't even believe how fast time has gone by. She is such a big girl already. She can sing her ABC's, count to 10, almost potty trained, and I could go on and on. Everyone always says how fast they grow up and you don't really listen until days like this. She is my baby girl who is running around doing all sorts of things by herself now.

We had a great sunny day for her birthday. In the morning Larry took her to run errands and wash the car, while I stayed at home and did last minute cleaning and decorated. When they go back Larry went and picked up the cake and a big bunch of helium balloons - Ashley loves balloons. She was so excited when he got home. Before everyone arrived we gave her the big present - a Dora electric jeep. She was very excited to see it. The funniest thing is she liked the jeep but wanted to go play on the $20 play slide that I had picked up at a garage sale the day before!

We had Grandma, Kayla, Sean, Aunt Shari, Ann, Holden, Brittany, Cherie, Lee, Emilee, and Jared over around noon. We all had lunch and the kids played in the back - they all had a great time. Ashley had a princess cake, she was embarrassed when everyone sang - but still smiled. She even blew out her candles all by herself - and happy to say she didn't spit on the cake either. Of course she loved all of her presents - but once she opens one she just wants to play - doesn't understand she should open them all and then play - but who can blame her. She had a very fun day and was so very tired after everyone left. We finally got her to rest on the couch for a few minutes, which turned into a good nap.

Happy Birthday Ashley!!
