Sammy the Shark

Ashley received a wonderful surprise in the mail from her cousin Cody. A book that he bought just for her - "Don't Eat The Teacher". Ashley loves books - but for the most part she doesn't sit still for anything longer then "Brown Bear". Ashley was very excited about this book though - she wanted me to read it right away. I thought for sure we would get through about 3 pages - and then she would just want to look at it by herself. I was wrong. She LOVES this book. She sits through the whole thing and we have read the book almost 10 times already. When I'm done reading it to her she takes it and goes through all the pages and talks about "Sammy" and "Crunch". A very big thank you to Cody!!! And of course for Aunt Stacy!!

Larry's Birthday

Friday April 20Th was Larry's birthday!! We both took the day off and had a great day. All 3 of us went to an ultrasound in the morning. Baby is doing great - moving around a lot! She is about 5 days behind my due date in weight which isn't an issue so that is good. Even the ultrasound tech. kept saying how much she is kicking - Larry and I both agree this baby must be like him. After that we ran some errands to get ready for our new patio that Larry is working on. We also went to the 4 wheel drive shop so Larry could by some stuff for the jeep with his birthday money. Then we took him to do his indoor skydiving - he had a great time. Ashley just ran around and showed off for all the people there so she had fun as well. We went to dinner and then had presents and cake with Cherie, Lee, Jared, and Emilee. Larry loved as his gifts and had a great day!

Up the nose!

Last night we sat down to dinner - pork chops with some corn and cottage cheese. Normal dinner - until I look over at Ashley and she has a strange look. And her finger is on her nose. OH NO!!

"Ashley what's wrong?"

"Nose"

"Ashley do you have something stuck in your nose?"

All I got was a look of horror.

Larry got the flashlight and sure enough - way up her nose is a piece of corn. Great - our first up the nose experience. Called Cherie - and she walked me thru trying to explain to Ashley how to blow out her nose and not in. Happy to report she blew it out and all is well.

Auto Show

This weekend we went to the Denver Auto Show. Of course there are a ton of cars that we could never even dream of ever owning - but it's fun. Larry and Ashley were fighting their way into all the cars. Ashley was happy just stretching out in the back or getting in the driver seat to touch all the buttons. She is pretty funny about cars - she is definitely a girly girl - but she does love her cars. She carries a little purse - but puts her cars in the purse! Sunday's are my days to sleep in (OK it's not really sleeping in - but Larry gets up with Ashley) this Sunday I got up and couldn't find either one of them. Larry was having a hard time keeping Ashley downstairs so they went into the garage and sat in my car! She was giggling when I found them. Larry finally has a garage buddy!
